Best time to visit May - Aug

In 1896, prospectors found gold in a creek near Dawson City. When the news got out, over 100,000 prospectors rushed to Dawson City, followed soon by Mounties, entrepreneurs and dancehall girls.

Today, the town is still abuzz - a lively place bursting with heritage sites and attractions. Come stroll the boardwalks with characters straight out of history. Tour historic buildings teeming with stories. Take in a show and whoop it up like a stampeder. Search for gold under the midnight sun. You may be surprised what you discover.
