The construction of the Alcan Highway in 1942, completed in just over 8 months, was a tremendous engineering achievement and a tribute to U.S. and Canadian co-operation.

Few projects could match the complexity and enormity of the task. Three significant collections are displayed in this exhibition to illustrate the adventures and hardships experience by the men who built the highway through the wilds of the Yukon Territory.
