The MacBride Museum was officially opened in 1952 in the small Whitehorse Telegraph Office cabin. In 1967 the centennial expansion was built to house the growing collection of Yukon’s historical objects. The museum was further expanded in 2006 and is still growing with the latest expansion to be completed in the summer of 2018.
