February 1 - February 10, 2020
Anyone watching this race is a winner
Each February, the legendary Yukon Quest challenges mushers and their dog teams to race across the frozen wilderness between Whitehorse, Yukon, and Fairbanks, Alaska. Spectators from around the world come to witness the event live, while thousands follow it online.
The 1,000-mile race takes place on historical gold rush and mail delivery routes, adding even more history to the trails—one paw-print at a time. But despite being a familiar venue for participants, weather conditions provide a fresh adventure for mushers and their dogs every year. So if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind experience this winter, you’re barking up the right web page.
