Mount Sima introduces Alpine Escape, a boutique glamping experience that offers guests a combination of adventure and relaxation in the Yukon's boreal forest, close to Whitehorse. Located at the shoulder of Mount Sima's ski runs, the property offers an accommodation option that appeals to clients seeking authentic outdoor experiences without sacrificing comfort.
The property features a range of options appealing to different client preferences and budgets. The Aurora geodome represents the premium offering accommodating up to three guests. This semi-private retreat includes a private outhouse, outdoor hot shower, outdoor kitchen, patio with fire pit, and panoramic mountain views.
In addition to the geodome, there are several wall tent options, including the Aspen and Spruce tents, each accommodating two guests. The Pine and Willow wall and bell tent combination, suitable for families and larger groups, accommodates five guests. All tent options include private fire pits with shared outdoor kitchen and outhouse facilities.
The retreat is a 15 minute, one kilometre walk from the Mt Sima parking lot, which creates an immersive wilderness feel while remaining accessible to most fitness levels. For guests who prefer additional convenience, a side-by-side transportation service is available for a small fee during standard hours. Advance arrangements are available outside regular times.
Guests also have access to two private lakes with canoe rentals and established hiking trails.
Alpine Escape is a fully equipped glamping experience, eliminating the need for clients to bring any camping gear. Accommodations include comfortable beds, functional outdoor kitchens with cooking equipment, and communal gathering spaces. The Aurora dome provides towels; guests in tent accommodations need to bring their own.
Clearly marked trails, self-check-in kiosks, and on-call support via call or text streamline the guest experience.
