Charlene is of Northern Tutchone/Tlingit/Irish descent and earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Art. She paints, sculpts, spins, designs garments, creates papier mâché masks and makes regalia. She also practices graphic design and computer arts. Charlene is a Tlingit speaker and writer, as well as a drummer, singer of traditional songs, storyteller and youth advocate. Her pieces are sold in Alaska and the Yukon Territory.
