Hyatt's first Yukon property brings elevated hospitality to Canada's North
Whitehorse now welcomes travellers with expanded accommodation options following the official opening of Hyatt Place Whitehorse. The 115-room property marks Hyatt's debut in the Yukon and represents a significant addition to the territory's hospitality infrastructure.
Located in downtown Whitehorse, minutes from Erik Nielsen Whitehorse International Airport, the hotel provides convenient access to the city's shops, restaurants, and attractions including the MacBride Museum of Yukon History and Yukon River waterfront.
Distinctive Design and Amenities
The property features a design concept that connects guests with the Yukon's landscape and heritage. First Nations carvings and artwork are prominently displayed throughout, honouring the region’s rich cultural heritage.
Guest rooms offer oversized windows with views of Whitehorse's iconic clay cliffs and surrounding mountains. On-site dining options include Carved Restaurant, serving breakfast and dinner with locally sourced ingredients, plus the Lobby Lounge with specialty premium food and beverage offerings.

Significant Investment in Northern Hospitality

The project represents more than $50 million in investment and created over 40 permanent jobs.
