Air North and China Airlines Launch Interline Agreement
New partnership streamlines Asian market access to the Yukon with seamless single-ticket bookings
Air North, Yukon's Airline and China Airlines have established an interline agreement opening up seamless travel from Asia to the Yukon. The agreement improves connectivity between Taiwan and the Yukon, as well as significantly expanding access for Asian business and leisure travellers to Canada's premier northern wilderness destination.
Announced August 29, 2025, the partnership enables single-ticket itineraries combining China Airlines' international network with Air North's territorial and domestic routes. The agreement streamlines both booking and baggage handling for clients travelling from Asia through Canadian gateway cities.
Enhanced Connectivity Through Major Hubs
The interline agreement connects through five key Canadian airports - Vancouver (YVR), Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), Toronto (YYZ), and Ottawa (YOW) - providing multiple routing options to accommodate diverse itinerary requirements. This flexibility allows travel partners to build efficient connections suited to individual client needs and seasonal preferences.
"Welcoming more travellers to the Yukon with China Airlines represents a major step forward for international tourism," said Denis Parry, Director, Travel Trade & Sales Distribution at Air North. The partnership positions Yukon as an accessible option for Asian clients seeking authentic wilderness and cultural experiences.
Year-Round Product Opportunities
The agreement facilitates access to Yukon's distinct seasonal offerings. Winter months deliver world-renowned northern lights viewing, while summer provides midnight sun experiences and pristine wilderness access. The territory's Indigenous cultural programming and adventure tourism products remain available throughout the year.
Beyond Whitehorse, the partnership supports itineraries incorporating Tombstone Territorial Park's alpine landscapes, and Dawson City's gold rush heritage sites.
