Traveller Quiz

The Yukon Traveller Quiz

You know what you like. We know the Yukon. Let’s work together.

It's not a crystal ball, but this quiz will give you the answers you're looking for. Get personalized information that'll make your trip extra magical.

Which activity sounds like the perfect start to your trip in the Yukon?

What is your sleep style when traveling?

Do you have the appropriate gear for a Yukon adventure?

Do you prefer being out in nature or exploring a city/town?

Who are your favourite people to travel with?

You seem to be…

Relaxed Traveller

You enjoy venturing out in nature, but your dream trip to the Yukon doesn’t stray too far from at least a few modern comforts. Your preference is to have the option to unwind and treat yourself rather than tackling gruelling hikes, but that doesn’t mean you want to miss out on iconic Yukon activities like the northern lights or midnight sun. Arts & culture are a focus and you seek out guided tours so you can learn about the territory’s land and heritage.

Curious Explorer

Your dream trip to the Yukon combines exploration of the unknown with down-to-earth comforts. Seeing the iconic landscape by any means possible is how you like to travel; car, hiking, dog sledding, horseback riding, mountain biking, you’ll do it all. Plus, you’re not shy to ask locals for recommendations. And when it comes to resting your weary feet, the unique lodgings on offer pique your interest.

Extreme Adventurer

You’re all about going off the beaten track and answering the call of the wild with a howl of your own. As a lover of the outdoors, you’ve planned your adventures ahead of time but are always looking to uncover the lesser known and one-of-a-kind activities that can be found by speaking to the locals. Breaking a sweat is how you roll, ride, ski or sled and at the end of a high octane day, you’re happy with a simple tent-pad in the heart of nature.

Join us for an unforgettable and unique Yukon adventure on two wheels or in a canoe; operating year round! The only operator to offer bike and canoe tours under the Aurora. Whether you're a newbie to the world of mountain biking or skilled single track slayer, we can guide you down the best trails on offer in the Yukon and get your bike skills upgraded and polished.

Whether it be on two wheels, snow shoes or in canoes we look forward to guiding you on exciting and customisable tours in and around the Whitehorse and Carcross area.

Winter Activities:

Fat Bike Single-track Tours - Experience mountain biking like never before on one of our fat tire mountain bikes. With over 4 inches of tire width you'll be able to shred on the snow, down real mountain bike trails with a smile from ear to ear. Tours take place in Whitehorse either on Mount Mac or Grey Mountain with an experienced and qualified guide with hotel transit included.

Fat Bike/Snowshoe Aurora Tours - You could jump on a tour bus with a bunch of other people and drive around trying to find the best aurora viewing, or you could come for a ride with us in a small or private group. The only sound you'll hear is the snow crunching beneath your fat bike tires or snowshoes as we head out on Lake Laberge with the northern lights overhead. At our secret viewing spot we'll have a fire, hot drink and snacks as we watch. Sure, it takes a bit more effort but that effort makes catching the aurora all the more memorable and deserved! We provide transport from your accommodation, bikes, helmets and snacks.

Fat Bike City & River Tours - Although our winter days are short, they offer some beautiful light and there's no better place or way to experience it than along the edge of the Yukon River on a fat bike. Tours run daily at a time that suits you. We'll meet you at your hotel with bikes and helmets ready to roll.

Summer Activities:

Mountain Bike Singletrack Guiding - With the rapid growth of mountain biking in Whitehorse and Carcross, we have some world class trails with world class views. We'll guide you down the very best trails to make sure you get all you can out of your bike trip in the Yukon. Our professional guides have your maximum enjoyment and safety in mind; trained in wilderness first aid and mountain bike instruction you will find it a worthwhile investment in you trip and development as a rider.

Yukon River and Lake Laberge Canoe Tours - A trip to the Yukon isn't complete without a paddle down the Yukon river. There are a lot options available when it comes to Yukon River day trip tour providers, why should you choose us? We're biased but we think we're more fun! Also, our smaller size allows us to be flexible to suit your needs and we have a safety boat following upstream just incase.

Pedal and Paddle Tour - Can't decide between mountain biking or canoeing? Do both in the same day with us! A full morning of riding on Mount Mac followed by a seamless transition to an afternoon paddle down the Yukon River. Transport provided.

New for Fall:

Aurora Canoe Tour - Nothing beats a serene paddle under the Aurora Borealis on the marge of  Lake Laberge! We paddle to our secret spot for an hour to sit under the Aurora keeping warm by the fire with a hot chocolate in hand.
