Traveller Quiz

The Yukon Traveller Quiz

You know what you like. We know the Yukon. Let’s work together.

It's not a crystal ball, but this quiz will give you the answers you're looking for. Get personalized information that'll make your trip extra magical.

Which activity sounds like the perfect start to your trip in the Yukon?

What is your sleep style when traveling?

Do you have the appropriate gear for a Yukon adventure?

Do you prefer being out in nature or exploring a city/town?

Who are your favourite people to travel with?

You seem to be…

Relaxed Traveller

You enjoy venturing out in nature, but your dream trip to the Yukon doesn’t stray too far from at least a few modern comforts. Your preference is to have the option to unwind and treat yourself rather than tackling gruelling hikes, but that doesn’t mean you want to miss out on iconic Yukon activities like the northern lights or midnight sun. Arts & culture are a focus and you seek out guided tours so you can learn about the territory’s land and heritage.

Curious Explorer

Your dream trip to the Yukon combines exploration of the unknown with down-to-earth comforts. Seeing the iconic landscape by any means possible is how you like to travel; car, hiking, dog sledding, horseback riding, mountain biking, you’ll do it all. Plus, you’re not shy to ask locals for recommendations. And when it comes to resting your weary feet, the unique lodgings on offer pique your interest.

Extreme Adventurer

You’re all about going off the beaten track and answering the call of the wild with a howl of your own. As a lover of the outdoors, you’ve planned your adventures ahead of time but are always looking to uncover the lesser known and one-of-a-kind activities that can be found by speaking to the locals. Breaking a sweat is how you roll, ride, ski or sled and at the end of a high octane day, you’re happy with a simple tent-pad in the heart of nature.

Wilderness trekking & canoeing in the Yukon

Discover the Yukon as few do, through remote rivers, rugged mountain ranges, and untouched wilderness, all led by passionate, eco-conscious guides. Based in Whitehorse, we offer intimate hiking and canoeing adventures that emphasize connection, sustainability, and authenticity.

Founded in 2013, Terre Boréale is a family-owned company born from a deep love of the northern landscape. Our guided trips run with a maximum of eight guests, ensuring personal attention, genuine interaction, and minimal disturbance to the land.

What makes us unique:

Sustainable adventure: As a certified B Corp since June 2023, we uphold rigorous social and environmental standards, prioritizing low-impact travel, transparency, and meaningful community impact.

Zero‑waste ethos: From our fully reusable food packaging to dehydrated backpacks meals, waste reduction guides every part of our operations.

Gourmet wilderness cuisine: Even in the backcountry, expect more than trail snacks, think lasagna by the fire, risotto, and other carefully planned, locally inspired meals.

Expert local guides: Our guides combine rigorous wilderness training with a strong cultural and natural knowledge of the territory. They lead with heart, and a commitment to sharing the Yukon’s stories.

Deep respect for the land: We follow Leave No Trace principles, limit remote trip numbers, and actively support local ecological research.

Local impact & community engagement: We aim to buy more than 50% of core supplies locally, pay our staff above living wage, and contribute annually to conservation efforts like the Yellowstone-to-Yukon initiative.

Accessible expertise: Whether you're a seasoned trekker or a first-time paddler, we welcome adventurers of all levels — and we guide in both english and french.
