Traveller Quiz

The Yukon Traveller Quiz

You know what you like. We know the Yukon. Let’s work together.

It's not a crystal ball, but this quiz will give you the answers you're looking for. Get personalized information that'll make your trip extra magical.

Which activity sounds like the perfect start to your trip in the Yukon?

What is your sleep style when traveling?

Do you have the appropriate gear for a Yukon adventure?

Do you prefer being out in nature or exploring a city/town?

Who are your favourite people to travel with?

You seem to be…

Relaxed Traveller

You enjoy venturing out in nature, but your dream trip to the Yukon doesn’t stray too far from at least a few modern comforts. Your preference is to have the option to unwind and treat yourself rather than tackling gruelling hikes, but that doesn’t mean you want to miss out on iconic Yukon activities like the northern lights or midnight sun. Arts & culture are a focus and you seek out guided tours so you can learn about the territory’s land and heritage.

Curious Explorer

Your dream trip to the Yukon combines exploration of the unknown with down-to-earth comforts. Seeing the iconic landscape by any means possible is how you like to travel; car, hiking, dog sledding, horseback riding, mountain biking, you’ll do it all. Plus, you’re not shy to ask locals for recommendations. And when it comes to resting your weary feet, the unique lodgings on offer pique your interest.

Extreme Adventurer

You’re all about going off the beaten track and answering the call of the wild with a howl of your own. As a lover of the outdoors, you’ve planned your adventures ahead of time but are always looking to uncover the lesser known and one-of-a-kind activities that can be found by speaking to the locals. Breaking a sweat is how you roll, ride, ski or sled and at the end of a high octane day, you’re happy with a simple tent-pad in the heart of nature.

The only private, licensed, cooking school in the Yukon just for home cooks. We offer guests an opportunity to learn the tricks and secrets of the professional kitchen from trained Chefs and instructors. Our classes are 2-3 hours long and include all beverages, food, instruction and recipes. Come and taste the Yukon at Well Bread Culinary Centre!

Well Bread Culinary Centre is a place for home cooks to learn new cooking, baking and mixology skills. We teach all ages and experience level of home cooks. Basic cooking and baking for the beginner cooks and for experienced cooks, we offer advanced classes to challenge your existing skills and advance your culinary knowledge. Our Chefs come from all over the world and we are lucky to have them available for instruction at our Centre.

Our Centre is located in downtown Whitehorse within easy walking distance of RV parking and most downtown hotels. We are ground floor accessible. Our building was one of the first constructed in what used to be the Industrial area of Whitehorse in the late 1940's. The original fire hydrant for this entire area of town is still mounted on the side of our warehouse!

Chef Cat McInroy created Well Bread after she retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Cat feels there is no better way to experience culture, community and collaboration than at the dinner table. It is the one activity that unites us all, no matter the language or culture. When we share food, we share ourselves.

Short and exciting classes are what you'll find at Well Bread. From Pasta to Pastry, Butchery to Beer Tastings, we have classes that will engage every member of your group on every level. When available, we use locally produced meats, vegetables, herbs, honey, alcohol, bitters and other locally foraged foods found in the vast Boreal Forest we live in.

We have true 1898 sourdough culture that traveled over the Chilkoot Trail to share with you! Chef Cat dries the culture so it's easy for you to take and re-hydrate when you get back home. There is a fabulous story that goes along with this Sourdough and Cat is eager to share this northern "culture" with her guests.

We welcome you to our culinary centre with a beverage, snack, and the recipes you'll be using during the class. We have an apron for you to use and all the utensils and equipment needed to create your own culinary masterpiece! Our online calendar shows the upcoming classes and registration can be done via our website.

Would you like to create your own culinary experience with a private group? Let's do it! We design classes tailored to your group taking all your guests needs and dietary requirements into consideration. We use as much locally produced products as are available and share those treasures with you in a unique culinary experience that is not offered anywhere else in the Yukon.
