Paddle the Yukon with Fireside Adventures—youth, family, and adult river journeys blending outdoor skills, climate learning, and wild connection, powered by Creative Toolbox’s experiential leadership vision.
Fireside Adventures is a Canadian outdoor education and adventure travel organization with more than a decade of experience operating in the Yukon, delivering meaningful, safe, and transformational paddle-based experiences for children, youth, adults, and families. Rooted in experiential learning, Fireside has become a trusted presence in the North—serving local communities while welcoming participants from across Canada and around the world to experience the Yukon’s rivers, landscapes, and living history.
For over 10 years, Fireside Adventures has worked closely with Yukon partners, guides, and educators to offer immersive summer river expeditions that blend outdoor skills, leadership development, climate education, and cultural learning. Our programs emphasize small group sizes, highly trained staff, and intentional learning design—ensuring every participant feels supported, challenged, and inspired.
Signature Yukon programs include Yukon Explorer, a youth-focused canoe expedition designed to build confidence, teamwork, and outdoor competence through multi-day river travel. Canada World Bound: Wild Roots invites young people to reconnect with nature and national identity through deep exploration of the Yukon River system, Indigenous histories, and environmental stewardship. Our Family Adventure programs offer a rare opportunity for parents and children to paddle together—strengthening relationships while learning practical outdoor and expedition skills in one of Canada’s most iconic wilderness regions.
In addition to youth and family programming, Fireside Adventures also delivers World Bound Adult Courses in the Yukon. These professional development and personal growth experiences are designed for educators, youth workers, outdoor leaders, and purpose-driven adults seeking hands-on training in expedition paddling, outdoor leadership, climate change education, and experiential teaching methods. Adult participants gain transferable skills, industry-recognized training, and the opportunity to learn directly from the land through extended river journeys on the Teslin and Yukon Rivers.
Fireside Adventures is also recognized for its ability to customize trips year-round, collaborating with schools, organizations, and international partners to design bespoke Yukon experiences tailored to educational goals, leadership outcomes, and cultural exchange. Through its World Bound framework, Fireside bridges schools across the globe—connecting classrooms in Canada, Europe, Asia, and beyond with place-based learning in the Yukon that brings curriculum to life.
Supporting and complementing Fireside’s work is Creative Toolbox Consulting (www.creativetoolbox.ca), a dynamic consulting and strategic planning company that helps organizations, educators, and staff teams become more impactful, adaptive, and relevant. Creative Toolbox provides leadership development, program design, and organizational strategy grounded in experiential learning and real-world application.
Together, Fireside Adventures and Creative Toolbox represent a holistic approach to learning, leadership, and adventure—using the Yukon not just as a destination, but as a powerful classroom for growth, connection, and transformation.
