Traveller Quiz

The Yukon Traveller Quiz

You know what you like. We know the Yukon. Let’s work together.

It's not a crystal ball, but this quiz will give you the answers you're looking for. Get personalized information that'll make your trip extra magical.

Which activity sounds like the perfect start to your trip in the Yukon?

What is your sleep style when traveling?

Do you have the appropriate gear for a Yukon adventure?

Do you prefer being out in nature or exploring a city/town?

Who are your favourite people to travel with?

You seem to be…

Relaxed Traveller

You enjoy venturing out in nature, but your dream trip to the Yukon doesn’t stray too far from at least a few modern comforts. Your preference is to have the option to unwind and treat yourself rather than tackling gruelling hikes, but that doesn’t mean you want to miss out on iconic Yukon activities like the northern lights or midnight sun. Arts & culture are a focus and you seek out guided tours so you can learn about the territory’s land and heritage.

Curious Explorer

Your dream trip to the Yukon combines exploration of the unknown with down-to-earth comforts. Seeing the iconic landscape by any means possible is how you like to travel; car, hiking, dog sledding, horseback riding, mountain biking, you’ll do it all. Plus, you’re not shy to ask locals for recommendations. And when it comes to resting your weary feet, the unique lodgings on offer pique your interest.

Extreme Adventurer

You’re all about going off the beaten track and answering the call of the wild with a howl of your own. As a lover of the outdoors, you’ve planned your adventures ahead of time but are always looking to uncover the lesser known and one-of-a-kind activities that can be found by speaking to the locals. Breaking a sweat is how you roll, ride, ski or sled and at the end of a high octane day, you’re happy with a simple tent-pad in the heart of nature.

Welcome to Peel Wilderness Aviation! We are a locally owned and family-run air charter and tourism operator based in Dawson City.

Allow us to introduce ourselves! We are Haylee and Colin, the owners and operators of Peel Wilderness Aviation, and we are excited to share our love of the Yukon with you. We specialize in sharing our love of the Northern Yukon wilderness with others and offer scenic flights and ideal access to the Northern backcountry for all your wilderness adventures!

We offer a wide array of scenic flights and Arctic adventures where you can experience all the Northern Yukon has to offer. Our scenic flights range from 20 minutes to full-day excursions, and can include the outstanding Klondike Goldfields, the Tombstone Territorial Park, and beyond. Our Arctic Circle and Arctic Coast excursions allow you to enjoy the Yukon to its fullest potential and venture where few people have ever gone.

We also offer air taxi services (pick-up and drop-offs) for all your wilderness adventures. Our aircraft are equipped with bush-wheel tundra tires or floats, which allow us to take you into the remote backcountry for paddling, canoeing, rafting, hiking, fishing, or hunting trips.

Our areas of expertise include, but are not limited to:

- The Peel Watershed ( Hart, Blackstone, North and South Ogilvie, Peel, Wind, Snake, Bonnet Plume Rivers)

- The Porcupine Watershed ( Miner, Whitestone, Eagle, Bell, Porcupine, Old Crow Rivers)

- The Firth River and Arctic Coast

- Tombstone Territorial Park, Ivvavik National Park,

- The Ogilvie Mountain Range, The Wernecke Mountains, and The Richardson Mountains
