This trip provides you with the opportunity to backpack through some of the most untouched, pristine, and wild country left in North America, the protected Peel River watershed. This region affords beautiful views of winding river valleys, pristine lakes, majestic mountainous regions, and a tremendous variety of terrain. The views coupled with profound silence and solitude are awe-inspiring. As you travel through this stunning landscape, wildlife you are likely to encounter include moose, caribou, grizzly bear, dall sheep, wolverine, wolves, martin, marmots, pika, arctic ground squirrels, and much more! In addition to wildlife observation, backpacking opportunities include photography, bird watching, duck spotting, and identification of plants and wildflowers. Trips booked later into the season provide the opportunity to witness the jaw-dropping aroura borealis in all its glory without light pollution from civilization.
